Elaine attended Michigan State University, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Science Multidisciplinary Pre-Law in 1990. She received her Juris Doctor from Wayne State University School of Law in 1993.
Elaine has had extensive experience in personal bankruptcy matters. From 1993 until 1999, she was an associate attorney with Bell & Gardner, P.C., where she represented clients in personal bankruptcy cases, as the firm was the legal service provider for employees of Wayne County and the City of Detroit.
She managed the bankruptcy division for Ambrose The Law Firm and handled Detroit bankruptcy cases for It’s the Law Legal Services, P.C. She also handled two of the three Detroit bankruptcy court dockets for Boren & Carey, P.C., a large bankruptcy law firm. In 2004, Elaine became an associate for Rebecca L. Thomas & Associates, P.L.L.C. another firm which exclusively represented bankruptcy clients. In 2005, she was hired by Acclaim Legal Services, P.L.L.C. as a bankruptcy attorney, where she remained until leaving to start her own bankruptcy practice.
Elaine has been of counsel for the Rasor Law Firm since 2007. She specializes in representing debtors in personal bankruptcy matters.
