James Finley became “of counsel “to Rasor Law Firm in 2009. Mr. Finley received his education from Walsh College and graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration. For his legal education, he attended Thomas M. Cooley Law School and received his Juris Doctor in 2008.
While a student, Mr. Finley volunteered, as a law clerk, at Macomb County Circuit Court with Judge Matt Switalski and turned that position into a job writing for all the Family Law Judges at Macomb Circuit Court. Later on, he was bestowed with the great honor of interning at Michigan Supreme Court under the direction of Supreme Court Chief Justice Marilyn Kelly.
While at Thomas M. Cooley, Mr. Finley focused his education on trial and appellate work and he participated in various activities that helped further his litigation skills such as the Mock Trial and Moot Court Competitions.
Mr. Finley has been the principal of Finley Law, PLLC where he specializes in criminal and family law litigation since 2008.
