Kara L. Rosso has been of counsel for the Rasor Law Firm since 2007. Ms. Rosso attended Western Michigan University, where she received her Bachelors of Science cum laude at the Carl and Winifred Lee Honors College in 1996. Ms. Rosso graduated from Wayne State University School of law in 2003. While a student, Ms. Rosso held internships with Justice Marilyn Kelly of the Michigan Supreme Court and Judge Gerald Rosen of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. While at Wayne State University, Ms. Rosso also served as an Executive Board Member of the Student Trial Advocacy Program, and as a student attorney for the Wayne State University Disability Law Clinic.
From 2003 through 2006, Ms. Rosso was an associate attorney with Collins & Blaha, PC, where she concentrated on general education law, election law, teacher tenure law and school policy development. Ms. Rosso was involved in administrative hearings, staff and student due process hearings, and employment-related investigations and grievances.
In 2006, Ms. Rosso served as general counsel to Prudential Protective Services, LLC, where she provided counsel to executive staff and managed operations of all legal matters to protect the company’s legal interests. Ms. Rosso’s experience included handling tortious interference and non-competition litigation, employment and contractual issues, collections, and drafting key business documents.
Ms. Rosso has been the principal of Kara L. Rosso, PLC since 2007. She specializes in employment and labor issues, education law, and general litigation and business issues.
